THE STORY OF CREDIT REPORTING

A credit report is a document that shows your credit payment history, information about where you work, where you live,  records about whether you have been sued or filed for bankruptcy, and records of criminal or civil actions against you.

There are three major credit-reporting agencies that record millions of credit data records about virtually everyone in the country.  They do not all record the same data, so it is important to order your credit report from all of  the following agencies to get your complete credit history:

Equifax (800) 685-1111
Experian (888) 397-3742
TransUnion (800) 888-4213

ACCS recommends that consumers order their credit reports each year to make sure that the information in the report is accurate and complete. Get your free annual credit reports here. www.annualcreditreport.com
